• How do you ensure the security of my personal information? We take data security very seriously. Your membership login details are securely managed by MemberSpace, a highly compliant platform. Additionally, we implement data encryption measures and restrict access to personal information on a need-to-know basis. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for a complete overview.

• What are my rights under POPIA? The Protection of Personal Information Act grants you several rights, including the right to access, correct, object to the processing of, or request the deletion of your personal information. You can also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator if you have concerns.

• Do you share my information with third parties? We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with other members when you post a listing, or with service providers who assist in the operation of The Noon Gun. These parties are bound by confidentiality agreements.

• How much does a membership cost? Membership to The Noon Gun is currently free, on Administrator acceptance to the platform.

• Can I cancel my membership at any time? You may cancel your membership at any time. Please contact us for assistance.

• What happens if I violate The Noon Gun's Terms of Service? Violations of our Terms of Service can result in the suspension or termination of your membership. We uphold standards of respect within our community and reserve the right to take action when necessary.

Listings FAQ

• What kind of items can I list on The Noon Gun? You can list a variety of items and services, as long as they are legal and adhere to our guidelines. Popular categories include holiday homes, art, property rentals, office spaces, events, professional services, and pet care services.

• Are there any fees for listing an item? A listing fees up of R500 may apply and will be explicitly stated during the Listing process. Commission of up to 5% on items may also be included, but will be stated during the Listing process. Our Administrator reviews all listings prior to approval. The Noon Gun also collects a commission on successful transactions facilitated through the platform.

• What is The Noon Gun's role in transactions between members? The Noon Gun serves as a platform to connect members and facilitate listings. We do not take responsibility for the condition of listed items, services, or the conduct of members. It is the member's responsibility to manage all aspects of transactions.
